The Education Cluster has reached 35 percent of its overall target of 1.3 million flood-affected beneficiaries, including 173,185 girls and women. 628 schools have now been repaired by UNICEF, IRC, Save the Children, ITA and Read Foundation across flood affected province in KP, Balochistan and Punjab. Over 3,000 temporary learning centers have been established, benefitting 263,838 children of which 40 percent of the learners are girls. A total number of 5,521 teachers including 2,034 female teachers have been trained on psychosocial support and education in emergencies.
