March 24, 2009 (Islamabad) Career Development Workshop conducted by Pakistan’s Leading Mobile Phone Operator Telenor Pakistan in collaboration with STEP. Workshop was attended by 15 persons with disabilities who are seeking employment in corporate sector after graduation. Assistant Human Resource Manager, Mr. Faraz and Ms. Samya Bokhari from the Corporate Social Responsibility department of the company jointly conducted the workshop at Telenor Head office in Islamabad. The process of job hunting, development of CV, preparation for interviews and communication techniques were covered in four sessions, followed by an informal discussion. Proceedings were interpreted in sign language. Disabled persons emphasized that disability is diversity and they can become part of human resource of any organization. Telenor assured creation of inclusive environment and disabled people will inducted where ever the fulfils the job criteria.
