Vision

IRCD is a bridge among disability stakeholders initiated by STEP (www.step.org.pk). The major barrier to employment and other socio economic benefits for disabled in our society continues to be attitudinal barriers; stereotypical thinking and assumptions about what disabled can and can’t do. The truth is that, the range of abilities of persons within any disabilities group in enormous. We need to get rid of our stereotypical images and view each ‘individual’ as just that ‘an individual’. Access to and sharing information resources can build capacity of local and national disability organizations, promote advocacy by and for people with disabilities and improve the quality of life experienced by disabled persons.

Information nucleus for counseling of disabled person and capacity building of their organization

A. Collection of Data

1.      Collection of data of all disabled persons

2.      Collection of data of all Non-Government Organizations(NGOs), International non- government organizations (INGOs), funding organizations and Disable people organizations (DPOs)

3.      Collection of News, paper cuttings and Articles regarding Developments Disability issues.

4.      Collection of books, Poems, Articles and Stories written by Disables and for disables.

5.      Maintance of available data
